I attended a workshop in at Newcastle a few weekends ago, it was hosted by Warren Marshall. The workshop focused on natural light and how to use it to your best advantage.
Warren is awesome! He is so educated and experienced when it comes to photography, plus he cracks everyone up as he shares with us.
At this workshop, Warren set up a group of models to attend for us photographers to put our new knowledge to practice. The photographers worked our way around the scene and chose where we wanted to shoot.
The models we had were so laid back and kind. Each photographer had different ideas in mind for what they wanted their shots to be. It was interesting to see how each person conducted their shooting as well as their final images posted online a few weeks later. Each photographers creativity and individual style showed in the images, resulting in so many different final images even though we shot the same scenes and models.
Workshops are a great way to meet new photographer friends too. I've met some funny and talented friends through photography. When you absolutely love doing something, it's amazing to share the passion and excitement with people who love it too!
As photographers, we never stop learning. There is always something to learn or try. Whether it be a new trend, a new piece of equipment or exploring our creative mind. Photography has become such a huge part of my life. I am so excited to keep learning & growing as a photographer and as an individual.
